If this was the first time, I’d say it’s some kinda of sickness or depression, but this is just waaaaaaaay too typical of the usual. I hope they don’t read this on the show because I only wish Artie the best but JESUS EFF’in Christ… what the hell is going on??????????????

Everyone probably knows about the fight between Artie and Howard on Thursday’s show so I won’t recap that, however I’ve noticed that Artie’s been going downhill very quickly lately in terms of his enthusiasm for the show. Is it just because he’s bored of the work and wants to make it in show business or could it be something more substance related? He’s been taking the subutex lately. Maybe it’s making him moody and oversensitive. As of right now, we know he’s on Subutex, which is a narcotic, so this post goes under Narcotics.

I know I haven’t been updating the site, but Artie WAS doing fairly well… don’t you all agree? But mysterious men telling Artie that his face is red and he should sit down? Kinda crazy. Artie took FOREVER to get back from his “food break.” Although I don’t know for sure, maybe he was hiding somewhere to “take care of business.” That’s why no one could find him. If he was really sitting down with a man in a suit, someone should have found him when they were out looking.

I missed part of the show and I’m REALLY PISSED! Sounded like some great stuff. Lisa sent me an e-mail to update me. Here’s what she had to say:

He got the third degree, and was obviously slurring and seemed drunk, Jon Hein came in and tested Artie’s blood to see if he was diabetic, but his cell count checked out okay.

Howard disclosed that Jon suspects Artie is on drugs, and that they have talked privately about it.

I love Artie, but when I listened to the whole thing again on replay, he did sound high as a kite.

MAN! crazy stuff. Clean? I’d love to say yes, but I’m going with the big “H” for today.

I really hope Artie’s back today. If he’s not, I’m going to have to assume he’s back on Heroin; whether he leaves a voicemail for Gary or not.

MAYBE, there’s a chance that he was trying to detox a couple weeks ago when he was sick… after not being able to kick it for one reason or another, he started again in order to make himself get back to normal and show up to work. Now, he’s realized that it’s got to stop, possibly checked himself into rehab, and didn’t call Gary or the show because of the anxiety (which we’ve seen before).

Note: I’m writing this LATE monday night because I won’t be up to post at 6:00am Tuesday when we find out if Artie’s back or not. I may change my mind after hearing tomorrow’s show, but for now I’m going to have to categorize this behavior as signs of NARCOTICS use/withdrawal.

Well, Artie’s been doing a good job this week of not showing signs of drug use. Plus he’s sounding very upbeat. Is Artie turning a new leaf? Is he really drug free? IMO, yes AND no. Yes, I think he’s off illegal drugs; however, I think he’s on some perscription medicine that helps him deal with his cravings and lack of motivation. I’m not a huge drug expert, but I’ve been close to people dealing with Heroin withdrawal and the perscription drugs give the patient a whole new outlook on life. Is this Artie?

Well… it’s actually Monday night but this post is for Tuesday’s show.

Anyone that listened to Monday’s show knows that Artie is back after a “rough” time last week. You also know that Artie had a great time in Vegas and was in great spirits. If you think back to how he acted last time he was on Heroin, you’ll remember that he was very sick (while detoxing) and perfectly fine once he started taking the Subutex. Over the past 2 weeks, I’ve seen almost the exact same pattern. Check out the “Audio” page and think about it… exact same voicemails as last time! Although Artie says he was honestly sick, I can not help but believe he was once again trying to detox from the big H and had to take the Subutex.

A Suboxone or Subutex detox treatment is best started once withdrawal has begun, and your dose is adjusted over several days.

IMO, this would explain why he was out for two days. He had to start withdrawal and the adjust the dosage the next day. What do you guys think?

Today’s Tuesday. Do I really need to explain more? For those of you that haven’t heard any of the show today, Artie’s out “sick” again. Howard wants to think he REALLY IS sick. I hope for everyone’s sake, especially Artie, that he’s right.

Based on his message to the station this morning, I must conclude that his behavior is similar to someone withdrawing from Heroin. I’m anxious to see what everyone else thinks about his absence today.

Well, I listened to most of the show today and it seems that Artie was out! Two days ago, Artie was wearing sunglasses and falling asleep again at work, yesterday he mysteriously was 10 minutes late to the show after his break, AND TODAY’S HE’S MIA! I missed the beginning of the show; what was the reason?!?!

Artie does’t show signs of using drugs very often so I only assumed I would write about one post each week, but so far this is 3 days in a row. I’m really starting to get suspicious now.

Highplains seems to think this might be Anti-depressant related so I’ll take that into consideration for categorizing today’s post. Any other Thoughts?

After being about 10 minutes late to his seat after break, Artie claimed the people downstairs couldn’t make his bagel with butter in time.  However, he said he gets the same bagel all the time.  How come this time was different?  Artie didn’t offer a good explaination.

If he was just popping some pills, he probably wouldn’t have been late.  Following yesterday’s symptoms, he MAY be back on Heroin and had to wait for people to clear out of the bathroom before he could do his thing.

Our first day!  Let’s get right into it.

Artie was wearing sunglasses and seemed to be nodding off which Robin noticed.  He also started wheezing or making some kind of strange noise while breathing.  Artie’s excuse is he’s a heavy-set man.  His tiredness leads me believe that this may be some kind of Narcotic.  Since he’s had issues with Heroin in the past, this is my guess.
