It’s Sunday night and I’m anxious to hear how Artie is tomorrow. Even though his symptoms provide the content for this site, I really hope he’s doing well. The less I have to post here, the better. Jersey rules!

So we are fairly certain Artie is on Suboxone and probably will be for the rest of his life.
As far as his weight gain, he probably is on a bipolar or antidepressant and that is the source of his weight gain.
Most bipolar and antidepressant drugs have a side effect of gaining weight, sometimes ALOT of weight.
Glad to have you back Artie and Gendone.

He did so well for most of last week. Sounded renewed and refreshed and full of energy, until thursdays show.
Now today, Artie once AGAIN falling asleep during the show and having Howard point it out?

I’m currently a grad student in a counseling program, and part of my training involves doing internships at mental health facilities. I have seen these bipolar and antidepresant folks firsthand, and have witnessed the side effects of the medications. MOST of the medication side effects involve either 1) weight gain (SEVERE), or 2) Sleep Issues. The sleep issues involves broken sleep or sleeping 12-15 hours a night.
But Artie DOES show up at 6:00 a.m. each morning of the show. If he was having sleep issues related to these alledged drugs, then he’d have a fuck of a time showing up each morning. And although the weight has increased, he is not downright obese. He’s jsut a thin guy who got fat.

One other thing: Can anyone list some tell-tale sign of diabetes? I think that’s a DEFINATE problem.

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:
* Increased thirst
* Increased urination
* Weight loss in spite of increased appetite
* Fatigue
* Nausea
* Vomiting
Symptoms of type 2 diabetes:
* Increased thirst
* Increased urination

* Blurred vision
* Slow-healing infections
* Impotence in men

He definately has the increased thirst (all the Hawaiian Punch’s) and defiantely has the fatigue. He’s also overweight, and does express an increased appetite. Impotence? He claimed he got laid, so that’s not an issue…

Todays sleepy moment came 4 hours and 28 minutes into the show. Damn, thats a long show. Howard is busting his balls about it and telling him to take a nap. Artie said he had slept all Sunday and that threw him off , he also said he ate ALOT of sugar which will make me crash every time

3h 47min, John Hein refers to Artie as the “New Artie Lange”. Hes acting very different lately, hes on some kind antidepressent. good for him if he needs it. On a side note he makes me hungry every day with all his talk of Brocolli Rob, Sausage and Peppers and Meantball Parmesans. That stuff sounds real good.

I will say this much: the guy usually gets tired at about the same time each day, which justifies his reasoning (being a long show). I don’t think he’s on anything except for sugar and recently acquired pussy.

Feb 14th, Artie fell asleep today about 3 hours into the show. What the hell is up. Something is not right. The Suboxone will relax him but not really make him fall asleep.
Wow if any of us fell asleep at work we would be fired, Artie stop the bullshit because Howard will only take so much.
